Remi
What is Remi: a membership for diabetes, high blood pressure, and weight in Mexico
Remi is a monthly membership in Mexico for people with diabetes, high blood pressure, or weight problems. It doesn't have a price or members yet. Here I explain what it will include, how it starts, and where it stands.

- Remi is a monthly membership in Mexico for diabetes, high blood pressure, or weight problems.
- It brings together an AI companion on WhatsApp, doctors and specialists, medication delivered to your home, and connected devices.
- It starts with a free diagnosis: a doctor comes to your home.
- It doesn't have a price or members yet. I'm building it in public.
Remi is a monthly membership in Mexico for people with diabetes, high blood pressure, or weight problems. For a single fee, it brings together an AI companion on WhatsApp, doctors, medication delivered to your home, and connected devices. It starts with a free diagnosis at your home.
I'm building it from scratch, in public. It doesn't have members or a price yet. This page explains what it will be, how it starts, why I chose it, and what's still missing. I update it as things move forward.
What the membership includes
Today, someone with a chronic illness has to get everything separately. Remi brings it together for one monthly fee:
- An AI companion on WhatsApp. For day-to-day follow-up, where people already are.
- Remi doctors and specialists. People, not just AI.
- Medication delivered to your home.
- Connected devices to measure what needs measuring.
What each tier includes and how much it costs is exactly what I'm defining now.
How it starts: a doctor at your home
Everything starts with a free diagnosis at your home.
My original plan was a kit you'd do yourself. I talked to a doctor and it's not possible: home tests aren't accepted as a diagnosis.
So the diagnosis is done by a doctor who comes to your home, at no cost. That visit pays for itself when the person subscribes.
The full story: Why Remi's diagnosis is done by a doctor at your home, not a kit.
Why I chose Remi
I spent four or five months choosing what to build. I started with 112 ideas. I cut it down to 7. Then to 4, modeling what each one would need to reach a million dollars in EBITDA. And then to 2.
The final round was between a collections company and Remi. The collections company needed more than 2,000 business clients. Remi won for three reasons:
- I think I can grow faster selling to people than to companies.
- The problem is interesting and can help a lot of people.
- It's a real pain. People need to solve it today, not someday.
The full process: From 112 ideas to 7 and Collections or diabetes: why I chose to build Remi.
Where it stands
Remi's plan has five steps:
- Choose the company. Done.
- Architecture. Done: how the business and operations work end to end.
- Tech and legal. Working on this now.
- The real structure. Taking it from paper to reality.
- First members. The first customer and the first peso.
On the legal and regulatory side, I already have a team: a law firm for legal and a consultancy for COFEPRIS. I wrote about it in Remi and COFEPRIS. I also filed Remi's trademark registrations.
And I'm putting together the Medical Board: specialists in diabetology and endocrinology, nutrition, cardiology, and internal medicine.
What's still not defined
- The price of each membership.
- The date the first member joins.
When they're set, they'll show up first on the Remi page and in the Tuesday newsletter.
